Jason I Iirsch and J lolly Ramcr’s apple party has become a

much-anticipated fall tradition for their son Parker and their friends and neighbors.

“It’s a way to celebrate a beautiful season,” Jason says. “It’s nothing fancy—

just

very old-fashioned and relaxed.” The New Hampshire couple hosted their first

party for a few friends nearly 10 years ago; it’s grown to include about 120 guests.

The get-together includes games, a tractor ride through an orchard, and dinner

featuring apple dishes prepared by Jason, food editor for The Associated Press.
